Lessons from a Decade in Fintech

In 2013, I started my career at JP Morgan in client list screening—the compliance function that checks customers against sanctions lists. Today, I’m Head of Product at NYDIG, building Bitcoin custody infrastructure. The journey between those points taught me things about building financial products that I couldn’t have learned anywhere else.

The thread connecting compliance screening, wealth management platforms, payment tokenization, and Bitcoin custody isn’t obvious at first glance. But there’s a unifying thesis: I use technology to reduce friction and remove risk across the full lifecycle of financial transactions—from onboarding and screening, through settlement, to complex financial strategies.
